We May Not Know Who Wins Tomorrow!

Yes, you read that right- it is possible that the winner of the 2020 presidential election will not be announced tomorrow night. The reason: the influx of mail-in-voting. Especially in swing states such as Pennsylvania, Iowa, Michigan, Florida, and Ohio, a few thousand votes could determine which candidate wins the election.

At this point, if you are voting by mail, drop your ballot off to the nearest voting drop box- that way you do not have to worry if your vote will be delivered in time. In some states, the supreme courts have ruled that ballots delivered after election day will not count, so be sure to take this important step!

If you are voting tomorrow in person, arrive early- the lines are expected to be longer than usual. For instance, in New York, some people had to wait up to five hours before casting their vote. It is equally critical to practice social distancing and abide by the polling place’s health standards.

Another helpful piece of information- research the local politicians running for office before you vote. Seats for the House of Representatives, Senate, and local districts are up for grabs. Vote the person you feel would do the best job in that position, and instead of listening to the phony advertisements, visit the candidate’s websites for factual information.

November 3, 2020 is one day away!!! Share this post with a friend who needs a reminder to vote.
