Cory Booker entered the presidential race back in February 2019, yet after 11 months, he officially ended his campaign due to a lack of political finances. Senator Booker told his supporters via Twitter, "It's with a full heart that I share this news- I'm suspending my campaign for president. To my team, supporters, and everyone who gave me a shot- thank you. I am so proud of what we built, and I feel nothing but faith in what we can accomplish together." Booker was part of the historic race for president for the 2020 election, and he would have been the second African American president in United States history. He still remains influential in the political world, as he is currently Senator for New Jersey.
